Effective date: 2026-05-17
This Privacy Policy applies to Representations: Binary & Hex on Windows, package identity BenjaminJohnson.Representations, published by Benjamin Johnson.
Representations: Binary & Hex is an offline Windows reference application for browsing and searching number-base values, Unicode® Transformation Format-8 (UTF-8) bytes, and Unicode Standard code points. The application is designed to work locally on your device and does not transmit user data off the device.
The application does not collect user data. For this policy, “collect” means transmitting user data off your device to the developer or to a third party.
The application does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, user accounts, cloud sync, subscriptions, payments, location services, contacts, calendar, photos, media, microphone, or camera access.
The application’s Microsoft Store privacy declaration is:
The application does not sell, share, transfer, or disclose user data to third parties.
The application includes a read-only database packaged with it. Browsing, filtering, searching, and copying values are performed locally on your device.
Any ordinary on-device application files created by Windows or the application remain on your device. The developer does not receive, access, or back up those files.
When you copy a value, your device places that value on the Windows clipboard. The application does not transmit clipboard contents to the developer or to third parties. Clipboard contents may be visible to Windows and other applications according to your device and operating-system behavior.
The application does not declare internet access and does not send application data to the developer or to third parties.
If you open the privacy policy link, developer website, or an email address from the application or Store listing, that action is handled outside the application by your browser, email application, operating system, or Microsoft Store. Those services are governed by their own privacy practices.
If you voluntarily contact the developer by email or through the developer website, the information you provide is used only to read, manage, and respond to that communication. The application itself does not collect that information.
Microsoft Store, Windows, device manufacturers, browsers, email applications, and other platform services may process store, install, update, security, crash, diagnostic, review, web, or email data under their own privacy practices. The developer does not add advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs to the application.
The application does not create an account and does not store user data in the cloud, so account deletion and cloud-data deletion are not applicable.
You can delete local application data by uninstalling the application or deleting the application’s data according to Windows settings and system behavior.
The application minimizes privacy and security risk by operating offline and not including advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
The application is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from children or from any other users.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If it is updated, the new version will be posted at the same privacy policy uniform resource locator (URL), and the effective date above will be revised.
